Who Is Peggy Peggy Pepper Wilkinson

In a nutshell, I am a story teller.

It is my belief that a good story can lead us into more of ourselves---allowing us to be the fly on the wall in someone else's life----peeking in to see what's rough and raw or smooth and mellow, in comparison.

It is my hope that the stories and observations shared from my own every day SCREAMS of CONSCIOUSNESS will provide a spark----igniting something new in you----or confirming a belief or feeling you all ready cherish. Its about re-affirming what's true..for you.

WEED MY LIPS

April 19th, 2009

Don’t worry.  You aren’t going to hear from my inner Elmer Fudd. Actually, I was thinking about weeds.

No matter how much you pull them, spray them, or concrete over them—-they find their way back to the light.  I have always been amazed even when looking at the sheer rock faces of mountains that a trail of weeds will be peeking out from the tiniest of crevices.  Put in a new sidewalk, put molten tar in between the cracks and wait a few weeks.  Hello, we’re back!

Weeds always seem quite cheerful to me, too.  Very pleased with their persistence. Absolutely committed to their purpose.  Looking for just the right opportunity to surge ahead.

Several years ago, I was doing my usual Sunday cruise through the book store when the title of a new best seller jumped out at me.  It was called something like “Even A Stone Can Be A Teacher”. At the time, I thought—”Sheesh, that is the most ridiculous thing I have EVER heard of!  How in the world did this woo-woo bunch of hoo-rah ever get published?!”  I threw it in the category with all the ridiculous, proud-to-be-super-stupid movies that get made, marketed, and turned into money makers.

But now that I have opened myself up to seeing the lessons and blessings in EVERYTHING, my life has a lot less judgment, a bit more technicolor, and a bit more HD—which, in itself, is a good metaphor.  At a time when we can hardly stand to see the news, some days—we are going to get all of it, even more clearly.

So, now weeds have gotten me to thinking.  They really can be a teacher.  WE could be a lot more like them.  So, I guess I owe that “stone guy” an apology because he was way ahead of me.

If we are willing to look for the message, it is there.  It is everywhere.  Anything or anyone that gets our attention, for any reason, has something to teach us if we chose to look and listen within.  We could even think of weeds as a sort of touchstone in life—-since they are always in abundance—there will never be a shortage of the message we most need to hear sometimes.

I will not let anything or anyone get me down.  I will do what I am meant to do, no matter the challenges ahead.  I will stay true to my life’s purpose and act on it with determination.  I will seek and seize the right opportunity to grow and to be fully self-expressed.  I will prevail.  I will be back.  I may be down…..but NEVER, EVER COUNT ME OUT.

Weed my Lips.

you’ve heard the expression…”brothers from another mother”… how about…”sisters from another mister”. I know we were raised in different parts of the country, but I am starting to think we must have been secretly seperated at birth. I adore you and treasure every word that comes out of your head!

    Love your take on weeds!

I always say…”So who decided to call them Weeds anyway?” Most are Green, many have flowers. All are a part of Natures Bounty.

Uh Oh…are “Weed Wackers” Plant Abuse?

What I hear here…is hold on… Hold on to yourself, hold on to your vision, hold on to what sustains you, hold on, hold on, hold on—couple that with Let go…let go of your fear, let go of what and who does NOT sustain you, let go of what no longer serves you…hold on, let go and you will grow. Love you!
