Who Is Peggy Peggy Pepper Wilkinson

In a nutshell, I am a story teller.

It is my belief that a good story can lead us into more of ourselves---allowing us to be the fly on the wall in someone else's life----peeking in to see what's rough and raw or smooth and mellow, in comparison.

It is my hope that the stories and observations shared from my own every day SCREAMS of CONSCIOUSNESS will provide a spark----igniting something new in you----or confirming a belief or feeling you all ready cherish. Its about re-affirming what's true..for you.

Tsunami of Prayers

March 15th, 2011

The continuing news from Japan only points up how fragile and ferocious life really is….every day, no matter where or who we are.

What is it about suffering that can tap into our compassion and generosity?  Does it take this kind of suffering to find access to these feelings? What would the world be like if we could access them EVERY day–providing each of us with a much kinder life and a more peaceful, humane world?

We saw it come out right after 911.  Again, with the aftermath of Katrina and Haiti.  Does it take a horrible thing to show us who we really are?

If you are searching for reason as to why God would let these things happen or how these things could be created in the first place—maybe the grand plan is to create a world where peace and compassion are dragged out of us whether we like it or not.  Listen up, control freaks…..you/we aren’t in the driver’s seat of anything that’s really important.

If there was ever a time to feel gratitude for WHATEVER is going on in our own lives, those of us who are safe and sound, this is it.  No whining. No keeping score. Only thanks.

We live to love and be loved.  That’s really the bottom line.  I doubt that a single person in Japan is stamping their foot because their internet connection is not fast enough today or that their hair color did not turn out like they wanted, or someone said something they shouldn’t have in 1991 that we choose to keep as a wedge in our relationship.

Feeling comes before healing.  Hope comes before action.  Prayers come first.

Thank you for putting our questions and hopes into words.

  • Denise says:

Agree that this is not a time for questionning the ‘wisdom’ of a deity that ‘allows’ disasters to happen. Instead we must send out gratitude for our blessings and for those coming to the Japanese people. We must also send out our positive light and energy that I know will reach them on the level of spirit and fortify them through the hard days ahead.

  • Celia says:

Thank you for being the voice in the wilderness! You are so right on every time.
