Who Is Peggy Peggy Pepper Wilkinson

In a nutshell, I am a story teller.

It is my belief that a good story can lead us into more of ourselves---allowing us to be the fly on the wall in someone else's life----peeking in to see what's rough and raw or smooth and mellow, in comparison.

It is my hope that the stories and observations shared from my own every day SCREAMS of CONSCIOUSNESS will provide a spark----igniting something new in you----or confirming a belief or feeling you all ready cherish. Its about re-affirming what's true..for you.

I HEAR YOU, TERRI: PEGGY ANSWERS YOUR QUESTIONS

March 31st, 2009

Dear Peggy:  I’m at my kitchen table this morning, asking for some sign that my life matters.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not depressed, well at least not suicidal.  I’m just having a heck of a time trying to decide what to do with the rest of my life.  Terri

Dear Terri:

Your unvarnished courage and truth matters a great deal.  It is a sign post for the rest of us who are sitting in our own quiet space, wondering what in the world to do, hoping for a sign of “this is it” significance.  Figuring out what you can create for yourself that MATTERS TO YOU, and YOU ALONE will be the most important thing any of us will ever do.  It takes time and patience and more unvarnished truth and courage and compassion.  Knowing YOUR truth, without a doubt, will influence your career, your mate, your friends, how you parent, what you eat, where you live, everything.

You may be overwhelming yourself—–with the need to know what you must do with “the rest of my life”.  It does seem like we should be able to develop “the grand plan” and stick with it doesn’t it?   Do you know anybody who has really done that???  The fastest way to Funky Town is to decide that YOU  MUST HAVE THE REST OF YOUR LIFE ALL FIGURED OUT—and if you weren’ t a lazy, stupid, coward you would have this simple thing done by now.  Fingernails down the blacboard.

What if you try this:   Decide three things that you would get a great deal of pleasure out of—-ANYTHING—and do them tomorrow.  Sounds ridiculous?  Just try it.  1.  A 30 minute walk  2. Cleaning the vegetable drawer in the frig 3.  Reading outloud to yourself.  Whatever.  Taking charge of your pleasure and allowing yourself to just enjoy each thing, will energize you at a core level.  No judgment.  No finish line.  Just random acts of positive energy, unique to you.  Do some the next day and the next.  You will begin to experience a shift into energy and focus.

One day will become two and then six and then 50.  The consistency of looking for the things that energize you will become easier and easier—-your energy greater and greater.  There really is no grand leap into something—just simple, small steps into the things you get your own YES to.  This creates a new energy and momentum in your life which will attract more of what you want and more of what is good for you.  And, most of all—-what really matters to YOU.

Keep me posted—-let’s check in with one another often.

Hugs,

Peggy

Good response Peggy to Terri. Little positive steps start the journey. Just a couple of things a day and at the end of the week you have done maybe 15-20 things that were positive and for you. I think we also need to identify and shed the “toxic” people in our lives. Cultivate the “nurturing”. And reach out and meet new folk. Might be some gems there. I am not sure there is a “Grand Plan” just daily goals and objectives that keep us going forward..Peace Carry

I open today’s SCREAM. And again am touched and torched. My heart is touched by the vulnerability and sameness that we all share. My soul is torched by the sparks of purpose and truth that come through cyberspace to my desktop. Your voice brings the fresh breeze of truth in through the windows of my life…and it helps to clear out some of the stale air that gathers and tries to take up house in my soul…keep the breezes coming Peggy!! Thank you.
