Who Is Peggy Peggy Pepper Wilkinson

In a nutshell, I am a story teller.

It is my belief that a good story can lead us into more of ourselves---allowing us to be the fly on the wall in someone else's life----peeking in to see what's rough and raw or smooth and mellow, in comparison.

It is my hope that the stories and observations shared from my own every day SCREAMS of CONSCIOUSNESS will provide a spark----igniting something new in you----or confirming a belief or feeling you all ready cherish. Its about re-affirming what's true..for you.

One Thought…..And You Are Out of the Starting Gate

October 25th, 2009

We, our very own selves, began as a thought.  Maybe were planned.  Maybe not.  But, before we arrived, nine months later…..we started out as a thought that caught on, with at least two people.

If you look around, wherever you are, right at this moment……whatever you are sitting on, this screen you are reading, the cup you may be holding, the shirt you are wearing…..all began as a single thought.  You might be thinking………she is not talking about a thought, she is talking about an idea.  But an idea is a thought, first. It is a thought about an act of creation or the solution to a problem.

But, let’s not split hairs.  The point of  today’s post is to realize your thoughts are the starting gate of your day.  They drive your life in every way.  Your thoughts are the spark that lights the match that sets the fire. Or not.

So, here’s a quote about the power of your thoughts. It’s been attributed to several different sources.  I guess that gives you an idea of how important  it is—-lots of people want to lay claim to it.  Since it is not conclusive who really thought about it first—–my thought is that it’s the content that counts.  This is one to paste to your morning mirror.

Watch your thoughts.

They become your words.

Watch your words.

They become your deeds.

Watch your deeds.

They become your habits.

Watch your habits.

They become your character.

So, watch your thoughts with care.

Let them spring from love, not fear.

For, just as surely as the shadow follows the body,

As we think, so we become.
