Some of you know how much I have loved renovating houses.  I guess I just can’t help myself—seeing something one way—and then envisioning what it could be with just a tweak or two—-making it feel brand new.

So, it won’t be that surprising when I tell you I have done the same thing, for years, with words or expressions or acronyms that have found their place in our culture.  Also, truth be told, I am sorta lazy.  This little game becomes an easy way to let these commonly used terms become triggers, taking me back home to myself.   Listening for those opportunities to use my own definitions/renovations builds a way to stay aware of the world whizzing by and with whatever may be spinning inside, at the same time.

One of my favorites is…….PC.  The first time we heard PC it stood for PERSONAL COMPUTER. Then it took on another life as PC—POLITICALLY CORRECT.

SO NOW…….WHAT IF, WHEN YOU HEAR “PC” USED………YOU MADE IT APPLY TO YOUR OWN LIFE INSTEAD?  HERE’S WHAT I MEAN……..

PC—PERSONAL COURAGE—-What requires my personal courage today?

PC—PERSONAL CLUTTER—What do I need to get in order?  What do I need to clear from my life?  My Closet?

PC—PEACEFUL CRUSADER—If there something I passionately need to change?  Can I do it with grace?

PC—PERSONAL CONFIDENCE—What can I reinforce or let go of to increase my self-confidence?

PC—PERSONAL COMPASSION—How can I be gentle with myself today?

You get the message.  This is fun.  And, it works.  Taking what is commonly “out there” all ready and making it yours, in a whole new way—-will make every day you own (PC) personal creation.  Enjoy.
