Knowing Who You Are at YOUR CORE Will Determine Your Future
We hear a lot these days about developing core strength. Most of the time it is related to a Pilates workout or in developing “six-pack” abs. But, there is another core, even more important to understand and develop.
Affter more than a quarter century behind bars, Nelson Mandela, African human rights activist and later, Nobel Peace Prize recipient, emerged with his spirit, his love, and his forgiveness, in tact. When asked howw he managed to not lose himself in the most brutal of circumstances, he said,
“Our core is a part of us that can NEVER be destroyed, no matter what is done to us. Our core knows only love and abundance. To be a true revolutionary, to find your way in this life, is to be radically transparent with your core visible, inside/out for all, including yourself, to see.”
He further said,
“To be so exposed is where our TRUE strength resides. When we repress our dreams, thinking we have to protect ourselves from getting hurt, from the power of others to adversely affect our lives, all we have really done is repress our dreams. We have used up our resources on self-protection……all that creates nothing but negative energy……and that makes us weak. Our core is strong. Our core is founded on trust, truth, and love.”
Here’s the bottom line:
We don’t need more stuff, more education, more money…..to do more or to have more. The more we are clear about who we are at our very core, the more we will create the life we were meant to have.
The more we know and understand our core, the more we will have the personal power to stay on course, within ourselves, when things don’t work out or people disappoint us. The more we know our basic nature, the more we see ourselves as we really are—-the fewer wrong turns we will make, the fewer blind alleys, bad bosses, and wacked relationships we will have to deal with. We will make better choices and better decisions and spend less time criticizing ourselves and blaming others.
If you would like to know more about getting to the heart of your own life, contact me. At the first of the year, I will be guiding people, who want greater clarity and sense of purpose in their lives, through a process called THE CORE MAP. I have experienced it firsthand and believe it could shed invaluable insights to anyone intent on clearing their path to success in all areas of their lives. More to come, later.
