Is It Time to Say Something?
October 8th, 2009
In a nutshell, I am a story teller.
It is my belief that a good story can lead us into more of ourselves---allowing us to be the fly on the wall in someone else's life----peeking in to see what's rough and raw or smooth and mellow, in comparison.
It is my hope that the stories and observations shared from my own every day SCREAMS of CONSCIOUSNESS will provide a spark----igniting something new in you----or confirming a belief or feeling you all ready cherish. Its about re-affirming what's true..for you.

Hmmm, maybe this is why my confidence level is lacking. I was raised not to rock the boat and to keep the peace at all cost. I even had to make this promise to my Mother before she died. When wanting to speak the truth I feel as though I’m choking.
I agree that it does not do us good in the long run. I have kept myself tamped down & in check for so long, and have gotten so good at it, that there are not surprise explosions in front of others. Screaming into pillow or alone in the car help but they don’t really change anything. ‘This too shall pass’ is a mantra I am very familiar with. I find that the hardest part for me shows up, for example, when I am reading a book/article about deciding what to do with my life. The authors always say to look to my dreams and to what my passions are to show me what I am most suited for but it is very frustrating because I don’t know what those are for me. I am sure I have them, or their potential, but I always end up in frustrated tears. It hasn’t been fair to myself to stay inside myself so much and it isn’t fair to my loved ones either. It has been easier in alot of ways but certainly not better.
