My mother in law is also suffering from dementia and didn't want to lose her license but had it taken from her by the state because she caused an accident when she forgot to stop for a stop sign. She is mad...mad as hell. She is daring any one any where to muck up her independence. She says I am going die anyway, let me die doing what makes me happy. I think that a strong woman's life depends on her independence. Literally! if you compromise that she starts to diminish. I celebrate the stubborn woman who has to much fire in her belly to be retricted by anything or anyone...
